Local Philanthropy

For over 30 years, the Seattle Alumnae Association has been working with the Broadview Emergency Shelter, which provides housing and services for victims of domestic violence and their children. We work with the Broadview Emergency Shelter by providing donations to help furnish temporary apartments for families fleeing abuse, creating Mother's Day gift bags for moms living at the shelter, and hosting Reading is Fundamental (RIF) events with the children.

Each fall we also work together with the Beta Pi members to host an Halloween Party for the children living at the shelter. This is always our biggest event of the year and is always such a wonderful experience for both Beta Pi members and our alumnae association.

For information about how you can get involved, please contact our Philanthropy Chair, Karli Hagstrom, by email here.
